Enjoy a hike on historic trail 1779 used by the patriots during the Revolutionary War. Beautiful scenic views. Hike is a moderate hike with small strenuous section (Rock Scramble). Hike is 4.5 miles. This moderate hike consists of a very scenic trail along the Hudson River in Rockland County. The southern half of this trail is flat and runs right along the river at sea level. The northern half of the trail is hilly, narrow, quite rocky and it runs along the cliffs. The trail is about 4.9 miles long. Bring water, trail lunch/snacks and proper footwear. Take a guided, moderate to difficult hike, in New York' s second largest park. Hike leads to the top of Bear mountain with views of the Bear Mountain bridge, Brooks Lake and Popolopen Torne. The hike travels a portion of the Appalachian trail. As well as through the Bear Mountain Zoo and Hikers will have the opportunity to hop on the Carousel as well. Approximate hike time is 4.5 hours and the hike is 5.2 miles long. As Always all Guides are Registered with New York State!

This Strenuous Hike leads you to West kill Mt. Which is the sixth highest summit of the Catskill 3500. There is no views at the summit but the ledges along the way provide the best views. The Hike also brings us past Diamond notch Falls which is a great spot for a break along the way. Total miles Hiked 6.4 miles order of Height. 6 Elevation 3,891 Ft. This is a Moderate to Strenuous backpacking overnight. Moderate back pack to base camp with a Strenuous day trip to the summit for the 5th highest summit in New York state. Visit the Cafe on the summit for a gourmet lunch taking in the breath taking views of the High Peaks Region and Lake Placid below. For the first day arrive at the location to set up base camp and if weather permits take a dip in pristine water. The hike is challenging and has some scrambles on large boulders this hike is not for those that have an extreme fear of heights. The treeless summit is exposed to weather and requires Proper hiking gear, boots and clothing. Learn how to set up camp as well as cook your dinner for the evening and in the morning learn how to cook breakfast using a camp stove. All Supplies for the trip is included in the price of the trip. Climb to the summit of New York's Highest Peak in the Adirondacks at a elevation of 5,344. For the first day you will be transported to the Adirondack region by one our guides. Along the way we will stop at a local shop for any forgotten items before we hit the trail. Leaving the trail head you will backpack into the wilderness to Marcy Dam Lake area enjoying the views along the way. Base Camp will be set up then take a excursion to Avalanche Lake before returning for the night for dinner and a good nights sleep. For the second day wake up early for the 10.2 mile round trip trek to the summit of Mt. Marcy, stopping along the way at Indian Falls to enjoy breathtaking views. Once on top of New York Highest stop to enjoy some of the best views New York has to offer. Return to Base Camp for the Second Night for some much needed rest. For the third day back pack out to the trail head and return home. Total miles hiked 19 miles order of Height 1, Elevation 5344 Bragging rights, along with (You go Girl ! and Right on Dude!) endless. Transportation included as well as Backpack,tent, sleeping bag,sleeping pad, cook set,Camp food). The only items needed is money for food during transportation period, Rain Gear,Boots and Change of Clothes while out on the hike. A detailed list of items needed will be provided.
